There is a common thread that’s subtle and somewhat hard to define - an easy, weighted feeling that’s come to be known amongst friends as \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003e\u003cem\u003eheavy mellow\u003c\/em\u003e.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003e \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"ltr\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThe album was recorded in the spare room of Kit's home in Crockett, California and along the Big Sur coast at Sundog Studios, high on the mountain above the purple sands of the Pacific. Everything was recorded and mixed on tape by Kit. The band wrote all their own parts, many of which came to be in the moment, as the tape was rolling. \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003eMarie\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003e is the work of Kit Center (vocals, guitar), Jessie Leigh Smith (harmonica), Patrick Murphy (bass), Bryan Lovett (drums, organ), and Jason Cirimele (guitar, keys).
